The Energy Champions for 2005/06 were selected by systematically analysing each of the agencies efforts throughout the Energy Smart Government program with an emphasis on 2005/06 and awarding points accordingly. Some of the factors considered included meeting annual energy reduction targets and the percentage reduction of energy consumption, energy costs and GHG emissions relative to the baseline. The implementation of energy saving initiatives also weighted highly during the analysis, with factors such as purchasing green power and submitting data on time giving the agreeable agency a small lead over fellow agencies. ![]() The following agencies are the 2005/06 Energy Champions: Swan TAFE In 2005/06 Swan TAFE continued to build on its previous achievements through an energy efficiency awareness program to educate staff and promote vigilance in switching off unnecessary lighting and machinery after business hours.
