The
Sustainable Energy Development Office has developed a kit of seminar presentations
and resources for use by local government, community groups and other
stakeholders, to promote understanding of energy efficiency and sustainable
energy use in the community. The community seminar kits have been designed around a series of community seminars hosted by the Sustainable Energy Development Office throughout 2004 and 2005, incorporating community and industry feedback. The presentation kit is available at no cost to organisations who undertake a commitment to host the seminars, via a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sustainable Energy Development Office. A numbered seminar kit is provided in hard copy, including a disc for electronic PowerPoint presentations. The seminar presentations cover one key sustainable energy topic per seminar, with speakers notes included for each presentation. Presentations are generally delivered in a 2-hour format including a break and question time. Sample templates of running sheets, promotional posters and a printed resources order form are included for each seminar topic. The 5 energy topics included in the community seminar kit series are: Seminar 1: Energy Challenge What are the top tips for saving energy in the home?
